CommVEx v9, July 27-28, 2013

The Commodore Vegas Expo v9 is set for July 27-28, 2013 at the Las Vegas Club Hotel, Left Field Room, third floor, 18 E. Fremont St., Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The contract has been signed, and the deposit has been made. Though the rental price on the room has gone up 29%, the increase was not unexpected, and we should have enough funds to cover the cost.

Mark your long-range calendars! CommVEx is returning with too much Commodore and Amiga next year!

30 Years of the Commodore 64 and CBM-2

2012 marks the 30th anniversary of the Commodore 64 as well as a few other notable Commodore Models.

The Commodore 64 is recorded as the most sold single model computer, with over 17,000,000 units. Commodore 64 models include the Commodore 64, 64C, 128 (64 mode), SX-64, and Educator 64.

The other notable models released by Commodore in 1982 are the Ultimax (aka MAX machine), a cost-reduced, limited, somewhat 64-based game machine for the Japanese market; the Commodore B-128 successor to the CBM line of business computers which had a modest following, and the ill-fated P-500/P-128 the successor to the PET line of computers which did not fare as well.
