CommVEx is at the Las Vegas Club Hotel & Casino at 18 E. Fremont St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89101. The LVC Hotel seems to be going through a reorganization and/or rebuild. Thus, accommodations do not seem to be available currently. However, you can book a room at the sister hotel across the street, the refurbished Plaza Hotel & Casino, phone number (800) 634-6532 toll-free or (702) 385-1664. There is no block of Plaza Hotel rooms set aside for CommVEx attendees this year. Please book your hotel through the Plaza Hotel or through a discount hotel website, like Hotels.com or Priceline.com (see below).

Hotel occupancy tax is 13%. Check-in time is 3 p.m.; check-out time is 11 a.m.. There will be a $50 refundable deposit required should you wish to bill phone calls, food, etc., to your rooms. This deposit will be used toward any unpaid incidental charges.

Parking is free to those who have a room in the hotel. Just show a copy of your room reservation (or even say that you are booked into the hotel and haven't checked in yet). If you are not a guest of the Plaza Hotel and still want to park there, it is $10 per day.

It is possible to get a better room rate than that from the Plaza Hotel. Go to http://www.hotels.com and look for hotels in Las Vegas, specifically “Fremont Street - Downtown Las Vegas”. Under “Plaza Hotel”, you may see a different (better) rate. Use the same search methods at http://www.priceline.com (which may have better prices than Hotels.com).

Nearby, alternate, relatively inexpensive hotels are the Main St. Station Hotel, Casino & Brewery; the California Hotel & Casino, the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, the Fremont Hotel & Casino, the Four Queens Hotel & Casino, and a bit farther away, El Cortez Hotel & Casino.
