Larry's PET/CBM
Pages
Commodore's first official computer
was the Commodore PET, designed by the key designer of the 6502
microprocessor, Chuck Peddle. Of all the microcomputers introduced
in 1977 the PET stood out, first with it's futuristic 'sci-fi'
computer look, it was a complete computer system in one case (computer,
keyboard, monitor and tape storage) which also had a ROM based
operating system and BASIC all ready to go with a flick of the
power switch.

No problem with Linux or
Windows you can Emulate one with VICE
the Versatilve Commodore Emulator which emulates almost all
of the Commodore 8-Bits! Mac users, we are not left out either
- with the MacM.E.S.S.
the Mac Multi Emulator Super System (though it is very finicky
and you have to search for the commodore 'MESS ROMS').
- Like the PET look but want a PC?
- This person made a "fat-forty" PET into a PC. (It may look good
but I do not condone people doing this with perfectly good working
classic hardware.)
