PaCommEx - The Return!

I just received word that we can have the Pacific Commodore Expo NW again at the Living Computers: Museum + Labs on June 24-25, 2023! Whoo-hoo!

As of 2021

The latest information as of July 27, 2021. I spoke with the head of computer collections at the Living Computers: Museum + Labs, our venue for PaCommEx. In our telephone conversation, he hinted that the LCM+L may be reopening in 2022 in conjunction with another Seattle festival. If the museum opens, then we can hopefully put on PaCommEx once again!

Dave A. Freeman passes away

Dave A. Freeman of The Living Computers: Museum + Labs passed away in late Sept. 2020. He was a hardware engineer at the museum and helped a great deal in the set-up of PaCommEx each year. To see my full write-up on him and see other links, go to

Update on the PaCommEx Venue

Last night, July 29, 2020, I talked to one of the contact people at the Living Computers: Museum + Labs where we have PaCommEx. The museum is o.k. financially. It was closed just because of Covid. The contact person says that as soon as they get out of Covid restrictions, the museum can reopen, and he is eager to have PaCommEx return. However, Seattle is barely dipping into Phase II of reopening, and museums are not in Phase II. He estimates that it could be anywhere between 12 to 18 months before the museum can reopen.

PaCommEx Postponed

Due to the ongoing pandemic crisis and the unavailability of our venue, the Living Computers: Museum + Labs, the Pacific Commodore Expo has been postponed until a later date. Watch this website for further updates.

Museum Information

2020 museum admission is $22; for seniors, students, and veterans, admission is $20; children age 5 and under, museum members, and PaCommEx exhibitors/presenters have free admission.
